On Saturday we went to Wheeler Historic Farm for an Easter egg hunt... it was a little crazy, but we had a lot of fun. Right before the toddler Easter egg hunt started, Mark looked over at me and said, "Wow, this is like the "Hunger Games" of Easter Egg hunting!" It totally was. You looked down the line of people and there were tons of toddlers staring at the ground at the eggs in front of them, ready to grab as soon as they heard the word GO (or crying because they couldn't understand why their parents were holding them back). Plus, it didn't look like there were enough eggs for all the toddlers there (each kid was allowed 6 eggs... if they ran out of eggs, then they could head over to the older kids Easter egg hunt). Mark and I strategized and decided that the best thing to do was to have Mark pick up Jackson and sprint to the end of the field so he could have extra time to get eggs. SO that's what he's doing here....

| Right before the Easter egg hunt |
| Finding the eggs! |
| Totally oblivious to what was going on... just all nice and warm inside my baby sling. |
| Right after the Easter egg hunt |
| Pony ride... there was also bouncy houses, but after pay $1 and repeated attempts to get him to go in, he would have nothing to do with the bouncy houses. Pretty sure that when he's older he won't believe us when we tell him this. |
| Putting the sport ball sleeves on the eggs... I think this was Jackson's favorite part. |
| Sweet Olivia watching all the craziness. |
| Jackson was completely enamoured with the finished eggs... Olivia, not so much ;P |
| Along with Mark's family's tradition of rolling eggs (where 2 or more people sit down and roll their eggs towards each other and whoever's egg comes out not cracked wins), finding the Easter eggs was his favorite. We had to re hide them over and over again... over the next 2 days (we also rolled the eggs over and over again until it became ridiculous... are eggs are now officially "broken"... that's what we tell him when he asks to roll the eggs). |
| It took him .00000000000002 seconds to start eating the candy. |
| He especially LOVED the sport eggs... of course. |
| I asked Jackson to put the egg in the air... and this is what I got... he apparently thought I said "ear". Maybe that's why his expression looks a little like, "Okaaaaay, whatever you say Mom." |
It really was the best Easter... Mark and I had so much fun watching Jackson. It's true what they say, that when you have little kids it makes you feel like a kid again during the holidays as you watch their excitement. If it's this fun when Jackson is 2, I can't wait to see how much fun it is when he's a little older!

Looks like fun! You are right, someday Jackson won't believe that he didn't like the bounce house - LOL.
That looks like an awesome easter egg hunt! Your family is so cute.
That dimple shot of Olivia a few posts ago is ADORABLE!! It seems like you guys have done really well transitioning to two kids.
