always making us laugh

This kid is making us laugh daily. Just wanted to write down a couple of funny things that have happened lately.

Story #1

While I was cleaning up the kitchen, Jackson was in the pantry getting a snack. I suddenly hear:

"Jesus! It's Jesus"

"Who?" (thinking I misheard him)

"Jesus"

"hmmm" and then decide on the answer I always give him when I have no idea what he's talking about... "Hmmm...Oh, really?" (yes, I probably should have investigated more, but I was trying to get at least one thing done that day)

Jackson gives me a blank stare. Then starts pointing inside the pantry and repeatedly keeps saying "Jesus!"

Now I'm REALLY confused. I know we have no pictures of Jesus in the pantry.

I go in and see what he's pointing to... and see the below picture on my diet dr. pepper box.

Story #2

While reading Jackson a book before bedtime, my stomach growled. His response?

"Uh oh! Mommy poopy" while pointing to my bottom.

Guess my stomach growling sounded a lot like Olivia when she poos.

Say What?

- While watching Caillou (a PBS show) play with his grandma I pointed out to Jackson that he has a grandma too. Later, at the end of the show Caillou's mom comes to pick him up and he shouts "Mommy!" Jackson then looks over at me and says, "I have a mommy too!" and gives me a BIG hug. Hearing him say that is one of the best feelings in the world... I love being a mom.
- Lately when I ask Jackson to throw something away... he takes it literally. He stands a couple of feet from the trash can and throws said item away. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries, but eventually it does end up in the trash.
-Mark was watching a game of football on TV and Jackson was trying to get his attention. Frustrated that he wasn't succeeding, he gave a big sigh, looked over at the TV, ran over and turned it off. Jackson, I know how you feel:).
-Sitting down for lunch at the table one day (something that doesn't always occur since I usually don't eat lunch until he's napping), Jackson picked up his fork, looked at me with a smile and said, "SOOOOOO....".
I think he picked it up from when we all sit down for dinner and Mark and I say, "SO, how was your day?"
-After getting ready one morning:
Mark (to me): Hey sexy!
Jackson (sitting next to Mark): Hey sexy! (although it sounded more like, "Hey sessy")

-Mark: "Whatchya thinking about Jackson?" (after seeing Jacks zoning out in his car seat)
Jackson: "BYU"
-The day before Mark was pointing to my mom and Robert's UTE (U of U) ornament on their tree and while pointing his thumb down said, "BOOOO!!" The next day as part of Jackson's birthday gift my mom and Robert thought it would be funny to give him a Ute toddler basketball... after playing with the basketball for a little bit, Jackson pointed to the Ute logo and while motioning his thumb down shouted, "BOOOOOO!!" Yep. We've trained him well (particularly his dad).
-During nursery at church a leader asked a 2 year old little girl in our class, "Are you hungry?"
Her response: "My body is hungry."
