Jacks at 6 months

I know, I know... Jackson is now 7 1/2 months, but my mom found his 6 month well-check at her house... so I thought better late than never, right!?

Weight: 15 pounds-- 10%
Height: 26 1/2 inches-- 75%
Head Circumference: 17.3 inches --55%

Below is how Jackson was at 6 months (from my journal:))

Jackson at 6 months = MR. WIGGLES!!

  • He has become a lot more smiley... in particular when you talk to him- he'll flash you a smile that causes Mark and I to break into smiles no matter what moods we are in!

  • I watch the View pretty much daily (usually just the "hot topics" part... unless they interviewing someone really interesting) and every time Whoopi Goldberg is talking he cracks a smile or sometimes he'll even start laughing randomly... it's hilarious!

  • He grabs anything and EVERYTHING within reach... he's particularly fond of faces right now (ouch!)

  • He's tried babyfood and so far likes pears, bananas, carrots, and squash... pretty much anything except for applesauce and rice cereal.

  • He can't quite sit up on his own yet, but will do well for a moment or two... he's great on his tummy and will roll to wherever he wants to go (occasionally he scoots:))

  • He babbles and SCREAMS a lot... he just loves hearing his voice!

  • He still loves his baths and seems to love water in general

  • He's a pretty tough guy... if he bumps his head on the floor or table he usually wont even give it a thought and just move on with whatever he was doing.

  • Sometimes we call him our little houdini cause he always manages to get out of his swaddle (we're still trying to break him of the swaddle, but we haven't succeeded... although by morning he usually is completely out of it anyway).

  • Lately he has been really fighting us on SLEEPING... hopefully it is just a phase :.

  • He is SUCH a well behaved baby... only crying when he's tired or hungry... we love him to pieces:)!
