Mark needed to go to a cultural celebration at some point for his class he's taking... so we decided to go to the Cinco de Mayo celebration that they held in Midvale. The advertisement said there was going to be a parade and then booths, games, and food at the park afterward. I don't know why, but Mark and I had visions of a massive parade with tons of people on both sides where we would have to squeeze in to see what was going on, huge floats passing by, etc. But when we got to the street the parade was on there was like 1 family per block. Maybe it was just the part of the street we chose (we were at the very beginning of the parade...), but nonetheless we had fun watching the parade (which mostly consisted of little kids throwing candy and advertisements... from political to Panda Express (which Mark particularly loved and the ad apparently worked since he decided to get Panda afterwards). Anyway, our favorite part of the day was lying out in the sun and listening to the Mariachis play.

It looks like you had fun. I'm glad you are posting again. We did eat tacos for cinco de mayo, but that was about it.
