SO Bummed

Ever since Mark's car broke down we have only had 1 car... thus, I am usually stuck at home unless I get myself and Jackson up early in the morning and drive Mark to school. However, my old roomie and good friend, Allison let me use her car after I dropped her off at the airport (and she thought I was doing HER a favor :P). Well, this morning I was SO excited thinking about how I was going to run all these errands and get OUT of the house after Jackson's morning nap. I get ready, get Jackson ready, and am about to head out the door to a lovely day of being out and about when I realize that Jackson's car seat is in OUR car, which of course is at Mark's school. I can't even describe how BUMMED I was. Oh well. Tonight I will make sure I have the car seat so we can go out tomorrow:).

Say What?

- While watching Caillou (a PBS show) play with his grandma I pointed out to Jackson that he has a grandma too. Later, at the end of the show Caillou's mom comes to pick him up and he shouts "Mommy!" Jackson then looks over at me and says, "I have a mommy too!" and gives me a BIG hug. Hearing him say that is one of the best feelings in the world... I love being a mom.
- Lately when I ask Jackson to throw something away... he takes it literally. He stands a couple of feet from the trash can and throws said item away. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries, but eventually it does end up in the trash.
-Mark was watching a game of football on TV and Jackson was trying to get his attention. Frustrated that he wasn't succeeding, he gave a big sigh, looked over at the TV, ran over and turned it off. Jackson, I know how you feel:).
-Sitting down for lunch at the table one day (something that doesn't always occur since I usually don't eat lunch until he's napping), Jackson picked up his fork, looked at me with a smile and said, "SOOOOOO....".
I think he picked it up from when we all sit down for dinner and Mark and I say, "SO, how was your day?"
-After getting ready one morning:
Mark (to me): Hey sexy!
Jackson (sitting next to Mark): Hey sexy! (although it sounded more like, "Hey sessy")

-Mark: "Whatchya thinking about Jackson?" (after seeing Jacks zoning out in his car seat)
Jackson: "BYU"
-The day before Mark was pointing to my mom and Robert's UTE (U of U) ornament on their tree and while pointing his thumb down said, "BOOOO!!" The next day as part of Jackson's birthday gift my mom and Robert thought it would be funny to give him a Ute toddler basketball... after playing with the basketball for a little bit, Jackson pointed to the Ute logo and while motioning his thumb down shouted, "BOOOOOO!!" Yep. We've trained him well (particularly his dad).
-During nursery at church a leader asked a 2 year old little girl in our class, "Are you hungry?"
Her response: "My body is hungry."
